The South Carolina Koi & Water Garden Society is a non-profit organization founded in July, 1997, to encourage appreciation and interest in water gardening, ponds, koi, and goldfish. The club’s objectives are to disseminate information to help members and to stimulate the study and culture of water plants and fish.
The Club sponsors two major events each year. There is a self-directed pond tour in the spring, featuring some amazing ponds and fish. Then there is a koi show in the fall. Vendors come from all over the country to participate in this show, and koi and goldfish hobbyists from all over the southeast bring their fish to be judged by professional koi and goldfish judges, competing for honors in a wide variety of categories, varieties, and sizes.
